Frequently Asked Questions

We love your venue, but need to work out some details and are still deciding. Can you hold a date for us?

Our event bookings are on a first-come-first-serve basis.  We will only be able to book your date upon receipt of a signed contract and deposit.  If you have decided to book with us, we will hold your desired date for 7 days from when you receive the contract so you can review the details and return a signed copy along with your security deposit.  To be fair to everyone, we cannot hold your desired event date beyond 7 days without those two items. 

How do I schedule a tour?

Tours can be scheduled by contacting Venue Manger Heather Burgess. Email her at heather@hiddenpasturesfarm.com, call 336-877-6892, or go to the Contact Us page on this website. No tours will be scheduled during other events.

How long does your event season run?

Events are held from mid-April through mid-November of each year, with very limited availability during November and December.  We are not open during winter months.  We use this time to make improvements to our property and prepare for the next season. 

Do you book multiple events on the same day?

No, we do not book multiple events from separate parties on the same day.  Your day is special, and we want to keep it that way. 

 

Will there be an event the day before or after my event.

It is possible there could be an event on the day before or after your event, depending on when your event is held, and which package you choose.  But rest assured, no other events will be booked to interrupt yours. 

Can you accommodate events other than weddings?

YES!  We are much more than just a wedding venue.  We have flexible space that can be great for a variety of events including rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, anniversary parties, family reunions, corporate events/retreats, birthday parties, memorial services, and more. 

What is your facility fee?

We want to be transparent about our pricing. Please visit the PACKAGES page to see a complete listing of packages and pricing. You may also email  us at heather@hiddenpasturesfarm.com for more information and to book your tour of the property.  You will not regret it!  

Do you offer any discounts?

We proudly offer a 10% discount for active or retired military personnel (bride or groom only).  Discounted packages are also available through our elopement/small ceremony options, which are available Monday-Thursday and certain Sunday afternoons. 

 

What is your capacity?

We can seat up to 150 people for a sit-down dinner.  If you need more space, we have room to accommodate additional seating, you may certainly set up a tent to accommodate additional guests. 

How far in advance does Hidden Pastures Farm book events?

If you have a specific date you are looking for, we suggest you contact us as soon as possible. We have several dates remaining for 2023, but they are booking quickly. 

Who sets up and tears down tables and chairs?

This depends on which package you choose. Some packages include this service as standard and some do not.  You may also add this service to any package for an additional fee.

Do you cater events?

Hidden Pastures Farm is an event space only.  We are happy to share a list of preferred vendors for your catering needs.  Your caterer of choice will have access to our warming/prep kitchen. 

Are we allowed to serve alcohol?

Hidden Pastures Farm allows service of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. No straight liquor drinks and no shots!.  We require that all alcohol be served by a licensed bartender.  If you choose to have alcohol at your event, your caterer or bartender must supply liability insurance.  Hidden Pastures Farm does not have a liquor license, and we do not assume any responsibility for the use of alcohol.  You are fully responsible for it. 

Can we decorate?

Of course!  We want your day to be just as you have imagined it will be! Your contract will specify what types of decorations are prohibited. You will also have access to our “Something Borrowed” Decor Room where we have hundreds of items on hand for your wedding day.

 

Is parking provided?

We have a large parking lot just for the venue site.  Close enough to walk over to the barn or be shuttled up the mountain to your ceremony site, but far enough away to keep cars out of sight lines and photos. 

How do I get my guests to the ceremony site if I choose to get married on the mountain top?

Guests are not allowed to drive their personal vehicles up the mountain.  Shuttles are provided in packages that require shuttle service.
